Assisted revenue: definition and examples
Assisted revenue shows payments on a linked site when the same observed visitor previously visited the assisting site. It makes a content or discovery site’s contribution visible without moving the sale away from the site that collected it.
Example: guide to store
A visitor reads a guide on Site A, follows a link to Site B and later buys for $50. If the sites are linked within one workspace and the visitor identity survives the handoff, Site B records the payment and Site A can show $50 assisted revenue. A later $20 refund reduces the corresponding net contribution when its records can be linked.
Assistance overlaps primary revenue
The assisted figure is another view of a payment, not another sale. Adding Site A’s $50 assistance to Site B’s $50 payment would overstate total revenue as $100. The same visitor may have touched several linked sites, so assistance across multiple sites can overlap too. Keep currency-separated totals and use primary payment records for financial reconciliation.
What must be connected
Linked sites must belong to the same workspace. Configure the actual domains and verify additional hostnames, then test navigation and checkout on the published websites. A shared brand name or similar customer email does not establish a cross-site visitor journey. Separate workspaces cannot be linked to share visitor context.
What the metric does not promise
Assistance depends on an observed earlier session and matching visitor identity. It is not automatic cross-device identification or proof that the earlier article caused the purchase. The current linked-site query uses retained observed history before payment; it is not a configurable advertising-platform lookback window. See installation verification when a known test handoff is missing.

Questions, answered.
Can I add assisted revenue to store revenue?
No. They can describe the same payments. Assistance is an overlapping contribution view; adding it to primary revenue double-counts those sales.
Can sites in different workspaces share assistance?
No. The current linking and assisted-revenue contracts require the sites to be in the same workspace.
